Amarr Mining/PVP Ship Doctrine

SECTION 1 — MINING FLEET DOCTRINE (AMARR‑FOCUSED)

Amarr does not have dedicated mining ships, so this doctrine uses the standard ORE mining hulls while keeping all support, logistics, and defense Amarr‑themed.


1.1 APPROVED MINING SHIPS

Venture (Newbro / Alpha)

  • Cheap, disposable, warp‑core strength

  • Good for scouting belts and gas sites

Procurer (Defensive Mining Barge)

  • High tank

  • Best for hostile‑prone areas

  • Standard fleet barge

Retriever (Yield Mining Barge)

  • High ore hold

  • Best for long sessions in safe space

Covetor (High Yield)

  • Highest mining rate

  • Requires protection

Porpoise (Boosting / Light Support)

  • Mobile command bursts

  • Drone mining support

  • Good for wormholes or small ops

Orca (Fleet Booster / Hauler)

  • Strong boosts

  • Large ore hold

  • Acts as fleet anchor

Bowhead (Transport)

  • Moves fully‑fit barges between systems

Mid:

  • Survey Scanner II

  • Multispectrum Shield Hardener II

  • Procurers form the defensive line

  • Retrievers/Covetors mine behind them

Combat Escort (Amarr Ships)

  • Purpose: kill belt rats, deter gankers

Hauler Wing

  • Bestower (cheap)

Keep the following pre‑fit and ready:

  • 10x Punishers

  • 10x Coercers

  • 5x Mallers

  • 5x Omens

  • 5x Harbingers

  • 3x Augorors

  • 3x Procurers

  • 3x Retrievers


3.3 NULLSEC / LOWSEC RESUPPLY TIPS

  • Use jump clones to move between staging areas

  • Keep a Providence in highsec for bulk resupply

  • Maintain a Bowhead in lowsec for ship movement

  • Anchor a small citadel for compression and storage

4.1 RAPID TRANSITION PLAN

  • Mining fleet stays aligned to a safe

  • Combat wing stays docked or on standby

  • If hostiles appear, barges warp instantly

  • Combat wing undocks to engage or escort


4.2 SHARED SKILL PATHS

Mining → PvP crossover:

  • Drones V (used by barges and Amarr drone ships)

  • Capacitor skills (benefit lasers and mining modules)

  • Armor tanking skills (universal for Amarr PvP)

  • Navigation skills (benefit both mining and PvP)


4.3 SHARED INFRASTRUCTURE

  • One citadel for ore compression, refining, and staging

  • One jump clone for mining, one for PvP

  • Shared corporate hangars for doctrine ships

  • Centralized ore buyback to fund PvP losses
